Kishore Ramchandani

Kishore Ramchandani is an Associate Partner with IBM's Financial Services Industry Consulting Practice, specializing in Information Technology and e-business Strategy and Change Planning. He led IBM’s effort to create the Insurance Industry Component Business Model (CBM) maps and is the focal point for linking these maps to the industry specific Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). He leads high performance teams that assist clients in developing a comprehensive Information Technology and e-Business strategy that is tightly linked to the business plan.

Mr Ramchandani has managed several large, complex projects that have included application assessments, business needs analysis, system design/development and implementation, business process redesign based on best practices, IT organization design, M&A due diligence studies, legacy systems transformation, hardware and software feasibility studies, request for proposal preparation, and vendor selection. He has over 25 years of experience with clients in the insurance, reinsurance, banking, financial markets, manufacturing, entertainment and health care services industries and in the public sector.

Mr Ramchandani is a subject matter expert in Life Insurance and is often called upon to support IBM’s global insurance initiatives. He is a Certified Management Consultant (Member, Institute of Management Consultants) and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute. He is the author of IBM’s recently published white paper “New competitive weapons in the insurance business” that addresses the use of CBM for achieving strategic differentiation.
